These Terms and Conditions govern the Bespoke Build Service provided by That Random Geeky Guy. By engaging with our service, you agree to the following terms:
1. Scope of Service
Our service is centred around providing expert guidance in choosing and sourcing the best PC components based on your specific needs, preferences, budget, and intended use. We then proceed to assemble, configure, and hand-build your custom PC to the highest standard, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Additionally, design flair may be incorporated upon request.
Please note that our service covers advice and the assembly of the PC build. The cost you pay is for the consultation, advice, and the custom build process, not the individual hardware or software components themselves.
2. Warranty and Liability
Hardware and Software Warranties: All components used in your PC build are covered by the warranties provided by the relevant retailers or manufacturers. That Random Geeky Guy does not offer warranties on the hardware or software included in the build. You are advised to refer to the terms and conditions of the retailers or manufacturers for details regarding any product warranties, returns, or defects.
Liability: That Random Geeky Guy accepts no liability for any issues or failures with hardware or software after the build is complete, as these are covered under the warranties provided by the respective manufacturers and retailers. We are not responsible for issues arising from the individual components after the build has been delivered.
3. Post-Build Support
We offer three months of post-build support from the date of completion. This includes assistance with troubleshooting, guidance on system optimisation, and general advice. The support covers any issues related to the build process or the assembly itself, but does not extend to the individual hardware components or software.
After the three-month period, ongoing support may be provided at additional cost, subject to prior agreement.
4. Collection and Shipping
Collection: Customers are welcome to collect their completed PC build directly from our premises in Herefordshire.
Shipping: If you prefer delivery, shipping costs will be calculated based on your location and the size of the build. All shipping is carried out at your own risk. While we take great care in packaging your PC for delivery, we are not liable for any damage or loss that occurs during transit. Once the build is shipped, responsibility for the condition of the item lies with the customer.
5. Payment Terms
Payment for the bespoke PC build service is due upon agreement of the components and service, prior to the commencement of the build. Full payment must be made before the PC is handed over or shipped.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your order after the components have been purchased, a cancellation fee may apply to cover costs incurred. If the build process has already commenced, cancellations will not be possible.
Refunds: Refunds for the service are only available if the build process has not yet begun. Once the build process is underway or completed, no refunds will be issued.
7. Customer Responsibility
Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding your preferences, budget, and intended use for the PC build. Any miscommunication or inaccuracies in the initial consultation may affect the performance of the final product.
Component Availability: While we endeavour to select and source the best available components, the availability of parts is subject to stock levels from suppliers and manufacturers. We will notify you of any significant delays or changes in availability.
